There is a FM Radio contest by an computer education center, winner will get Scholarship.....25% waiver (III prize) 50% waiver(II Prize) and 90% waiver(Ist prize)
Programme fee is Rs. 1 Lac plus Service tax.
Please comment on taxability of gift in the hands of the student.

i think there is no Q. of taxation of gift.....becoz...student will pay fees after deducting his waiver....
